On July 27, 2025, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz officially approved the launch of the “Free Student Internet Scheme” across Punjab. The initiative aims to bridge the digital gap for students from underprivileged backgrounds — giving them access to fast, reliable internet connectivity at no cost.

This revolutionary step is part of her government’s Education & Digital Pakistan Vision 2025.

🎯 What is the Free Student Internet Scheme?

The Free Internet Scheme is designed to offer:

Monthly free internet data (up to 20 GB)

For students of public colleges and universities

Data will be provided via registered SIMs

In collaboration with Punjab IT Board and telecom providers

To register, you must:

Be a resident of Punjab

Be enrolled in a public sector college or university

Own a valid CNIC or B-Form

Have a registered mobile SIM in

 your name

Domicile (Punjab)

Active mobile number

6. Monthly data will start after verification
