8 New Car Launches Expected in June 2026 in India
The Indian passenger vehicle market is set to heat up in June 2026, as several major automakers are preparing to introduce new models across different segments. From mass-market EVs to luxury SUVs, the upcoming month is expected to bring strong activity from brands like Tata, Skoda, Citroën, Mercedes-Benz, Honda, BMW, Mini, and BYD.
Below are the 8 most anticipated car launches expected in India in June 2026.
1. Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors is gearing up for one of its most important electric SUV launches with the Sierra EV. The model is likely to come with 65 kWh and 75 kWh battery pack options, similar to those seen in the Harrier EV.
Both rear-wheel-drive single motor and all-wheel-drive dual motor variants are expected. The larger battery pack could offer a real-world range of more than 500 km.
Inside, the Sierra EV is expected to feature a modern triple-screen dashboard, panoramic sunroof, V2L and V2V charging capability, Level 2 ADAS, and connected car technology. The expected starting price is around ₹18 lakh (ex-showroom).
2. Skoda Kodiaq RS
Skoda is likely to bring the performance-focused Kodiaq RS as its flagship SUV in India. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine producing 265 PS and 400 Nm of torque.
The engine will be paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and AWD system. The SUV is capable of accelerating from 0–100 km/h in just 6.4 seconds.
Key highlights include adaptive suspension, sporty interiors, RS-specific styling, and upgraded braking performance. The expected price is above ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom).
3. Citroën eC3 X
Citroën is expected to introduce the eC3 X as an upgraded version of the existing electric hatchback.
It will likely continue with a 29.2 kWh battery pack and a front-mounted electric motor producing 57 PS and 143 Nm torque. The expected driving range remains around 320 km.
The major updates will focus on added features, improved tech, and better interior comfort.
4. Mercedes-Benz S-Class Facelift
Mercedes-Benz is preparing a mid-cycle update for the S-Class, featuring subtle exterior changes and upgraded technology.
Expected updates include redesigned LED headlamps, refreshed grille design, and the latest MBUX infotainment system.
The sedan will continue offering six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines with mild-hybrid support. It will also get enhanced rear-seat comfort and advanced driver assistance features. Pricing may start from around ₹1.90 crore (ex-showroom).
5. Honda ZR-V Hybrid
Honda has already introduced the ZR-V hybrid concept for India and has started accepting pre-bookings.
This premium SUV will sit above the Elevate and will be imported via the CBU route. It will use a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with Honda’s e:HEV hybrid system.
The combined output is around 184 hp, with fuel efficiency expected to exceed 20 kmpl. Price announcement is expected this month.
6. BMW X6 Facelift
BMW will launch the updated X6 with refreshed styling, new lighting elements, and the latest curved infotainment display.
The SUV will continue with 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, supported by 48V mild-hybrid technology. Power output will range between 298 hp and 380+ hp depending on the variant.
It will also feature xDrive AWD, adaptive suspension, and coupe-style SUV design. Expected starting price is above ₹1.45 crore (ex-showroom).
7. Mini Countryman C (New Generation)
Mini is preparing to launch the new Countryman C in India on June 17. The model is significantly larger than its predecessor at around 4.44 metres in length.
It will be powered by a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine producing 136 hp, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Key highlights include a 240 mm circular OLED touchscreen, improved cabin space, and Level 2 ADAS features.

8. BYD Plug-in Hybrid (Atto 2 DM-i / Sealion 6)
BYD is set to introduce its first plug-in hybrid model in India. The company may launch either the Atto 2 DM-i or Sealion 6 based on final confirmation.
The Atto 2 DM-i combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with battery options of 7.8 kWh or 18 kWh, offering a total range of up to 998 km.
The Sealion 6 hybrid setup may produce up to 218 hp with an electric-only range of around 140 km, making it a strong contender in the hybrid SUV segment.
