Airlink Announces Air EV Electric Bike Launch Date in Pakistan
Air Link Communication Limited is preparing to enter Pakistan’s electric motorcycle market with its new brand, Air EV, which is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2026. Deliveries are expected to start approximately one week after the official launch.
The company revealed its plans during its annual general meeting, according to a report released by Arif Habib Limited on Tuesday
Air EV to Initially Rely on Imported Electric Bikes
Airlink plans to begin its electric bike business by sourcing vehicles from international partners that can offer competitive prices. This approach will help the company establish its presence in Pakistan’s growing electric mobility sector before moving toward greater local production.
The upcoming electric bikes will feature replaceable lithium-ion batteries, allowing users to remove and replace the batteries when needed
Airlink Targets 95% Local Manufacturing
Alongside its initial launch plans, Airlink intends to gradually expand local assembly and manufacturing operations. The company has set a long-term target of achieving up to 95% localization as it builds its electric bike business in Pakistan
As part of this strategy, Airlink plans to source lithium-ion batteries locally during the initial phase, supporting domestic suppliers and helping develop its local production network
Airlink Expands Beyond Smartphones
Airlink is widely known for its mobile phone business, but its entry into electric two-wheelers represents a move toward a new growth area. With rising interest in electric mobility, the company is looking to establish a position in Pakistan’s evolving electric vehicle market
The success of Air EV will depend on factors such as pricing, battery performance, availability of replacement batteries and after-sales support. More details about the electric bikes, including their prices, specifications and available models, are expected to become clearer around the launch
Final Words
Airlink’s upcoming Air EV launch could introduce another competitor to Pakistan’s electric motorcycle market. Its plans for replaceable lithium-ion batteries and up to 95% localization show a long-term commitment to the sector, although the final prices and specifications will play an important role in attracting buyers
